Covenant groups are small groups of five to ten people who meet for two months twice a month, creating space to explore our monthly Touchstones themes through open and honest sharing in a safe environment. Covenant groups are great places to get to know other people and to get to know yourself. Over time, participants build deep connections with one another, with the congregation, and with the sacred.

Whatever the topic, the conversation is respectful and caring and leads to greater understanding. In each session, facilitated by a member of the congregation, all participants have opportunity to share their perspectives, tell their stories, and listen deeply. The time together is structured: Groups begin and end with centering readings and include times for quiet reflection as well as sharing. Covenant groups also put their faith into action through service projects.

Open enrollment for this year’s covenant groups starts in August 2020, and groups will run through summer 2021. Due to COVID-19, this year’s covenant groups will run via Zoom. For more information, contact Rev. Chris Rothbauer at minister@auuf.org.
