Have you checked out AUUF’s podcast?!

Did you know AUUF has a podcast? This will be a significant addition in how we have made recordings available for the last 4 years. Since March 2020, i.e Covid CE, we have broadcast 95% of the services first via zoom, then later via YouTube in real time and made recordings of those services available for later viewing via YouTube. Our YouTube account contains 209 recordings dating back to March 2020 at auuf.com/watch. We will continue to have a live element so people that are not able to make the trip to the Fellowship can participate online in real time with no delay. The number of people watching synchronously usually hovers around 3 or fewer active participants but for these few people this connection may be an important part of their week. Unlike Zoom, we have no way of knowing who is watching the service from 10-11 on Sunday morning to gather their input.

The podcast format will create serialized audio recordings of only the sermon or homily portion of the hour service. The advantages of this are multifold: The privacy of service participants are more protected, including children. We try to place the camera in a location to only video capture the “Official” service participants; Service Associate, Program Leader, Minister and choir. We hear the audio of the people making joys and concerns and announcements, but they are not on video, protecting some privacy. The second advantage is the podcast recording can be subscribed to and new episodes can be pushed to your mobile device and listened to in many different environments—the major one being in your car while driving.

If you do not want to use the Podcast Application on your mobile device you can also listen to the latest recoding on our home page at https://auuf.org Click on the Play button to listen to the recording within the web browser. See image below:

You can also visit our Libsyn Podcast page and see all podcasts here!

Using the Podcast application on your mobile device will allow you to subscribe to different podcasts and have new episodes automatically pushed to you device when they are uploaded. If you’re using a podcast app (like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or Google Podcasts), open the app and use the search function to look for “Auburn Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Podcast” Once you find the podcast, hit the “Subscribe” or “Follow” button. This way, you’ll get notified whenever a new episode is released. Browse through the list of available episodes and select one to start listening. You can usually stream the episode directly or download it for offline listening. Most podcast apps allow you to adjust playback speed, set a sleep timer, and manage notifications. Customize these settings to enhance your listening experience.

Joining your mobile device to your car audio system will allow you to select and control the playback either through CarPlay or AndroidPlay as shown below or from the phone itself when plugged into an audio input jack in your car. No more sitting in your driveway waiting to hear the end of a story; your podcast app will remember where you are in the program and pick up from that point the next time you listen.

Enjoy your listening experience!
