There are common elements of ministry and common traits/strengths of individual ministers, whether ordained and fellowshipped within Unitarian Universalism, or lay leaders.
And then each of us has our own unique combination of 24 universal character strengths that are found in every human being. Once we know which of these character strengths come most naturally to us, we have important information about what we need to be doing to be happier, stronger and more resilient. Knowing and using our strengths also provides us with much-needed purpose and energy for accomplishing our personal and collective goals.
This month’s open to all Fourth Sunday education and training session will be held from noon to 2 pm May 25 in the sanctuary. Coach, facilitator and trainer Sonya Tinsley-Hook will be joining us by zoom to help us learn together how to identify these strengths and to begin using them to help ourselves and one another.
She currently works as an executive career coach in a global professional services organization. Sonya is a Lay Minister and active member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Atlanta.
