Come and enjoy homegrown produce, unique items from local vendors, delicious food and fun activities for all ages!
MARKET ACTIVITIES:
1. LOCAL VENDORS selling locally sourced and sustainably grown produce, honey, prepared food and drink, jewelry, and MORE! .
*We are now offering Double Up Food Bucks with SNAP/EBT purchases. Please take a look at the attached flyer to learn how to use SNAP/EBT at our market.
I will send out a list of produce and prepared food offerings for sale in the market later this week.
2. Live Music
Aether Solaris at 1:15 pm
Enjoy a live musical performance filled with soulful melodies woven with folk, jazz, and R&B influences by Aether Solaris, a wonderful singer-songwriter from Tuskegee, Alabama.
3. Environmental Education Activity
– “Poisonous Native Plants and their Natural Remedies” by Tia Gonzales at 2:30 pm
Interactive demonstration : Learn how to recognize common poisonous plants such as poison ivy and poison sumac and distinguish them from their look-alikes. Also learn how to identify common plantain and use this incredibly versatile and ubiquitous plant.
– Beneficial Native Plants and Compost Demonstration” by The Tribe at 3.45 pm
Interactive demonstration : Learn to identify various common plants and flowers, their beneficial uses and applications. Also learn how to create and maintain a compost system to enrich your soil and reduce waste.

4. Food Demonstration & tasting
“DIY Nut Milk: Simple and Delicious” by Dawud Jahi (Jahi’s SunflowerWell) at 3 pm
Interactive demonstration : Learn the process of making delicious homemade nut milk! Discover the best nuts for nut milks and their benefits, the step-by-step process of making nut milk, and how to flavor and customize nut milk to your taste.
5. Community Music circle / Open Jam at 4:15 pm – Bring your own drum, or use one of ours. Play an instrument. Sing. Dance. Move. Everyone is welcome to participate.
