Diana’s Pantry Autumn Harvest Fund Drive

Hello our beloved AUUF community,

Diana’s Pantry team (Amy K, Kitty F, and Noriko) is announcing the launch of DP Autumn Harvest Fund Drive! This is our annual cash donation drive, and the collected funds will be used for monthly grocery cards and emergencies for our recipients.  We conclude our Fund Drive at the end of September to determine the allocation of funds for the upcoming year.

Diapa’s Pantry is a supplemental assistance program for food and household items given to members and friends of AUUF.  Since we started this program about 10 years ago, the format has evolved to best assist our recipients efficiently.  We do not have a physical ‘pantry,’ but instead, we distribute the donated goods along with grocery cards on the 3rd Sunday every month, often to the front door of our recipients.  The DP recipients have expressed continued struggles with increased cost of food in unfortunate circumstances.

As we work with local, national, and international agencies for our values and principles, we do have people in need right under our roof.  The DP team and recipients would appreciate any contribution that you can comfortably make by the following methods: 1) hand your donation directly to one of the DP team, 2) check, 3) Pay-pal (here), or 4) Venmo of the fellowship account (here).  Please be sure to write DP Fund Drive on memo.

Let me conclude this email with the writing from one of the DP recipients.

“Diana’s Pantry has been the stable support I craved in the hardest time of my life.  COVID and cancer hit my home like a storm at the same time.  DP and the angels that run and support it were like constant warmth and guiding light which is so hard to find.  I feel that it’s helped me keep swimming through the deepest darkest waters of my life.  It allos my mind to breathe about one lessened worry (food scarcity) at the times when I need a hand.”

Please join us in helping those in need in our AUUF community.

Together in kindness,
Noriko, on behalf of DP team (Amy K and Kitty F)
