“Please place on your calendar our next virtual planning meeting on Monday Jan. 26th at 6:30PM.  Rep. Gray is planning on attending.  

The agenda is below my signature.  We have a key goal of working with our youth organizations to plan how to involve young people in our work.  Also, the coordinators are working on a plan for the next 3 months of our work.  Please send us your ideas for goals and tactics before the meeting.

  1. Overview of progress in Lee, Macon and Russell Counties.
  2. Plan how to involve youth in the work to implement the initiative
    1. How do we inform youth about initiative and its goals?
    2. How do we invite youth to participate in the work?
    3. How do we document and measure youth involvement?
  3. Plan how to communicate between the consortium and the public.
    1. What is the best way to do things like share our news and updates, advertise upcoming events, get feedback, and recruit for doing tasks such as contacting elected officials and decision makers?   
    2. Who will administer this?  Note that we had survey respondents say they were interested in helping by using social media
  4. What goals should we have for the next 3 months and what tactics should we use to achieve them?
