League of Women Voters Annual Meeting April 13

From Member Sarah Kapp:
The League of Women Voters of East Alabama is hosting our annual meeting on Monday, April 13 at Auburn First Baptist Church.

Since it’s our annual meeting, the program is a bit different than usual. We’ll be hosting a dinner at 6. The deadline has passed to RSVP for the dinner, but at 7 pm, there will be a keynote talk by Samuel Duff, voting rights strategist of ACLU Alabama. He’ll speak on uniting the progressive coalition in the runup to the 2026 election as well as key issues.

Everyone is welcome to attend, regardless of whether they partake in the dinner! Aside from the fee that those who will attend the dinner pay, the event is otherwise free.

During the dinner, the LWVEA will hold its annual meeting, where members will vote on the 2026-2027 board. Note that this is open to the public, though only paid LWVEA members may vote.

For more information about LWVEA and the annual meeting, please see our recent newsletter. ADDED BONUS: this month’s issue features AUUF’s very own ✨Pamela Wiggins as a contributor with coverage of LWVEA’s February Alabama Read Freely event!! Thank you, Pam!

And thank you, AUUF, for being a part of the LWVEA community! We are so grateful to have you.
