After a US federal judge blocked Alabama from executing Jeffery Lee by nitrogen gas, the state of Alabama has scheduled a second execution date for Mr. Lee on September 17, 2026.

If you have any concerns about messaging, questions about whether actions are helpful/strategic, or would like support (including physical presence from a member of the Lee team), please do not hesitate to contact us. Examples of events/actions that you can plan in your communities: film screening, peaceful vigil outside Governor’s mansion, call-in to legislators that supported the law abolishing judicial override, op-eds from faith leaders, correctional staff, lawmakers, judges, etc.
