Exciting News from AUUF!
We are thrilled to introduce Formeeca “Meeca” Tripp as our new Director of Religious Exploration (DRE)!
After a dedicated search process led by our amazing committee—Chris B., Patience M., Lisa S. and Amy K., we unanimously agreed that Meeca is the perfect fit for our community. She officially accepted the position and signed her contract this past week!
Meeca brings a vibrant spirit and a wealth of experience as a passionate advocate for children and families in the Southeast region. She is the founder of Shared Threads, a free mobile clothing pop-up shop that serves families in need, and works as a community organizer with Alabama Arise, focusing on social justice and policy change in our state. Meeca is the Education Chair for the Lee County chapter of the NAACP. With years of experience in child and parent education and engagement, Meeca is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in social work to deepen her impact.
Beyond her impressive resume, Meeca is a devoted mom of two and brings an exuberant personality, a joyful spirit, and a collaborative approach that will help strengthen our RE program and build meaningful connections within our congregation and beyond.
With the support of Rev. Marti, our RE Committee, and all of you, Meeca is ready to guide our children and youth on a meaningful journey of exploration and growth.
Please join us in warmly welcoming Meeca to the AUUF family!
