Each month, on Potluck Sunday, the collections plate is given away to a worthy nonprofit organization that is actively involved in meaningful work aligned with our UU values in the community toward creating a better, more equitable world for all.

Following Rev. Marti’s recent service, “The American Dream,” we are advocating for stable housing as a foundational right in our community. To support this need, our July GOTP will benefit Auburn Opelika Habitat for Humanity.

As rising housing costs leave many local families vulnerable, Habitat for Humanity works to remove systemic barriers and provide safe, equitable, and permanent housing for our neighbors. Our contributions this month will directly support local home builds and advocacy for housing justice.
