Sunday, September 20, we will be honoring the International Day of Peace by making Pinwheels for Peace in the back of the sanctuary during coffee after the service. During this RE for All Ages event, the RE Committee will have supplies and instructions for making pinwheels that will be displayed outside to celebrate “World/Whirled Peace.” We encourage each pinwheel maker to decorate their pinwheels with illustrations and words that embody what “peace” means to them. The pinwheels will be “planted” outside on the front lawn as a cheerful way to send a message of peace to those who walk or drive by.

This long-standing RE tradition was initiated at AUUF in 2007 and has continued each year, on or just before September 21, the International Day of Peace.
