Environmental Education “Native Yards Connected Communities” by Sarah Wolak at 2:30 pm – Discover how Alabama’s native plants support the pollinators—bees, butterflies, and birds—that keep our communities thriving. Learn simple ways to bring native plants into your yard and help create connected habitat corridors that benefit both wildlife and neighbors. Native plants will be available for purchase, making it easy to start your own pollinator‑friendly yard at home.Food demo and tasting “Cooking with Mushrooms” by Ria and Theo at 3:15 pm – Quick, flavorful demo on mushroom prep, cooking techniques, and their nutritional value. Learn how to clean, cook, and bring out rich umami flavor while discovering why mushrooms are a plant‑powered staple – plus enjoy free samples!Community music jam / open jam at 4:00 pm – Bring your own drum, or use one of ours. Play an instrument. Sing. Dance. Move. Everyone is welcome to participate.
