Local Vendors selling locally sourced & sustainably grown produce, prepared food and drink, handcrafted artisanal goods and MORE! Double Up Food Bucks available with SNAP/EBT purchases.
Community Quilting Circle. 1 pm onwards “Stitch in the Sun” – Grab a seat, unwind and enjoy hand sewing in the fresh air. Free and open to all skill levels. Bring your own project or use our fabric scraps. Seating and great company are provided! We will have a friendly guide on-site starting at 1:00 PM to help you get set up, teach you the basics, and get those creative juices flowing. No prior experience is needed, and all are welcome to join the circle.
Live Music. 1:15 PM NinaJo – NinaJo is an Auburn-based singer-songwriter and pianist known for her emotionally resonant performances and masterful blend of voice and piano.
Ecological demo. 2:20 PM “Why Water Watch? Discover How Citizen Scientists Help Protect AL’s Waters” by Mona Dominguez (
Alabama Water Watch) –Join Alabama Water Watch for a hands-on demonstration of the tools and techniques volunteers use to monitor local waterways and support watershed stewardship. Learn how water chemistry testing, bacteriological monitoring, and stream biomonitoring help us understand water quality and identify potential problems. Whether you’re simply curious or interested in becoming a certified citizen scientist, this activity will show how everyday people can make a meaningful difference and contribute valuable data for protecting Alabama’s waters.
Food demo & tasting. 3 PM “Healthy Bites & Herbal Sips” by Dawud Jahi (RawSoulicious Sunflower Well Farm) – Learn to make nutritious almond balls paired with a refreshing sorrel tea.
Ecological demo. 3:45 PM “Wonderful World of Kudzu” by Ria Davis – Discover how one of the world’s most aggressive invasive plants is secretly a powerhouse of utility. This demo breaks down how every single part of the kudzu plant—from root to flower—can be transformed into food, medicine, and materials.Community music jam / open jam.4:30 PM Bring your own drum, or use one of ours. What: Farm-to-Table Community Dinner made using locally sourced ingredients. First-come-first-served. Everybody’s Welcome!
Pay What You Can — suggested $20 per plate, but everyone is welcome to enjoy the meal regardless of contribution. All proceeds directly support RisingGardens Programs through our nonprofit partner, Farmscape Solutions.
