Shared Thread’s NEXT EVENT is on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at Lee County Literacy Coalition- 505 W Thomason Circlrle-Opelika, AL,  https://www.leecountyliteracy.org/ from 5pm-7pm.  They will be distributing food boxes, which is open to the community. Setup is from 330pm-5pm. We will be indoors. Along with the clothes, we will have blankets, towels, washcloths and hygiene items to distribute. Please see flyer below and feel free to share.  If you would like to volunteer please contact Formeeca Tripp. We can use all of the help we can get.

With our community’s powers combined, we have poured into more than 160 individuals and families, which calculates to more than 525 individuals!! This number is not exact because some people are unable to sign in for various reasons. So these figures are higher!!

We have spread joy, relief and good old fashioned cheer without judgment or shame. 

I hope you are able, willing and available to help the village help the village. Please help spread the word and/or let Formeeca Tripp know if you are able to volunteer.
